The National Ploughing Championships (September 18th – 20th), Europe’s largest outdoor event, return to Offaly in September and small businesses from all over the country are getting ‘ploughing-ready’ thanks to the Local Enterprise Offices. Under plans for the ‘Local Enterprise Village’, launched by the Minister for Trade, Employment and Business, Pat Breen T.D., Local Enterprise Offices are helping 30 small businesses and start-ups launch products and services to the thousands of visitors expected at the three-day event. 291,500 people, a record-breaking number, attended the National Ploughing Championships in 2017. More details around the Local Enterprise Village and the supports on offer through the Local Enterprise Offices in local authorities are available at Funding for the Local Enterprise Offices is provided by the Government of Ireland through Enterprise Ireland.

Well, not physically ploughing, but we’ll be at this years National Ploughing Championships. Thanks (once again) to the support of the Westmeath Local Enterprise Office, we’ll be bringing our bar, three canned beers and our limited edition Dead Centre bags to Screggan, Tullamore, Co. Offaly from September 18th, 19th and 20th.

We’ll also be using the occasion to launch Moondust, our limited edition collaboration with Mullingar based award-winning coffee roasters, Bell Lane Coffee. Moondust is a 5% Coffee Porter that we’ll have with us in 440ml cans, fresh from the brewery.

If you happen to be popping along, be sure to track us down. We’re at Unit 27 in the Local Enterprise Village located at Block No 4, Row No 13, Stand No 280.
