I'll be honest we thought the place was closed when we... read more arrived at the door as the entrance was empty and nothing really gave a 'come on inside' vive however as we entered a gentleman said hello and welcomed us warmly. He showed us to a table with great views of the river outside. There are plenty of 2,4 6,8 tables and outdoor seating on the terrace beside the river Shannon.
We order The Whole Hog Burger and fries and the I'm All In breakfast. Both arrived together, breakfast consisting of 2 eggs (just warm) 2 rashers sliced mushrooms cooked cherry tomatoes 2 sausages and toast and butter - everything was cooked well but ok. The Hog burger was a brioche bun with delicious pulled pork serving with coleslaw and (think?) mayo, no crispy onions as described on the menu and fries are an extra side.
The restaurant interior is really bright and clean with great retro touches here and there like the 12 inch records on the walls and the great distillery chamber in full view.
The ladies bathroom was spotlessly clean and fully stocked - which is a lovely touch.
All in all a nice lunch in a really lovely location. Will definitely be back and have already recommended this place to family and friends.

Really tasty with fresh tomatoes. Pizza excellent thin crispy perfect amount of sauce for margarita pizza. Crispy crunchy. Would highly recommend food pipeing hot when served. Prices are decent 16:50 for steak sandwich I though very expensive but for what I received I can deal with paying that but however normal sides like chips do not come with the mains you have to pay extra 4 euro for the bowl of chips I think this should be changed as even a member of staff agreed with me that the mains should come with side of chips for the price apart from that slight inconvenience this establishment in the centre of Athlone is perfect for pints and grub!

There's a brilliant variety of food, which is all delicious and reasonably priced. A kids menu is also available. A huge drink selection, including all own brand beers and IPAs, which are brewed onsite.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend for families, couples, and groups!

  Every town needs one - Great beer and pizza and the setting on the banks of the Shannon is just lovely. Only criticism is that it closes Monday and Tuesday.

The food was really good, and reasonably priced. Didntt love that it was served on plastic and cardboard containers but still cant really complain. The guys in the bar were great and were offered samples and recommendations when unsure of what to order. For a really busy evening everthing was very good and the staff who were obviously under pressure did a amazing job. The lady who appeared to be a manager seemed to be a tad out of touch with the rest of the staff but otherwise this is my new favourite place in athlone and will 100% be returning
