Group FAQ

Dead Centre is a large space and can cater for groups several hundred patrons strong. For group bookings over 70 people, we do require a full private rental.

Although there is essentially no minimum spend, we do require a commitment on both numbers and the selection of a menu. The fee for food will be charged at the number of people booked, not at the number of people who actually attend. This is to facilitate food ordering and prep by our chefs.

We do have several options dedicated to larger groups in relation to menu, tour and package options. Please contact us for more info.

A private dining area is available for groups of 30 or more. Or reservations team will be happy to help with private dining options.

In most circumstances, no there is not. In some instances (eg where a specific entertainment or audio-visual request is made) a deposit may be required.

We try our best to have our talented chefs cater for every dietary option. When booking, our staff will seek information on any known allergies or specific dietary needs so that each can be catered for.

Absolutely. We are happy to keep flowers and cakes refrigerated ahead of any special occasion. You are also welcome to decorate your area. Some restrictions do apply here, but our staff will help guide you on what is possible. We are also happy to point you to local suppliers.

We do not apply any service charge on larger bookings.

Customers are asked to please cancel at least one week in advance. Any deposit that has been paid is non-refundable (as this will have been used for third party providers). Any booking cancelled less than 7 days in advance may still be charged for  purchases/preparation made in good faith.

Yes. We have a network of big screens which can be used to mirror displayed content. We also have a sound system that covers the entire building (including smoking areas and toilets). We also supply a pair of wire less microphones for events that require PA or loudspeaker systems

For larger groups we use set menus to streamline kitchen efficiency and improve diner experience. If you would like to pre-order, we can accommodate this.

There is not. Larger groups can enter via either our front entrance on Strand Street) or via the deck (riverside). For private hire events, the decking entrance from Custume Place will remain locked and the entire group will enter via the front entrance on Strand Street.
